Faculty of Engineering at Sinai University Organizes “Young Inventor” Workshop for Al-Arish Scouts

Under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and Prof. Dr. Abdelhamid Abdo, Vice President of Sinai University for Education and Student Affairs – Al-Arish Branch, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Bassiouni, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Amin, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Engineering at Sinai University hosted an interactive workshop entitled “Young Inventor” for children and young scouts from the Al-Arish Scouts Team on Monday, August 17, 2026.
The workshop aimed to simplify fundamental engineering and technological concepts for children and develop their innovative thinking and creative problem-solving skills through practical applications and simplified experiments supervised by a distinguished group of faculty members and engineers from the college.
The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from the participating children, who demonstrated great enthusiasm for developing new ideas and creating simple prototypes. This contributed to enhancing their abilities and identifying their early talents in the fields of science and engineering.
The event comes as part of a series of educational and awareness-raising activities and programs organized by the Faculty of Engineering at Sinai University to serve the local community in North Sinai and support and nurture talented young people from an early age.
