
The Second Annual Cosmetics Exhibition
Under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdu, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs – Arish Branch, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yasmin Mortagy, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics, and Dr. Heba Awad, the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy organized the Second Annual Cosmetics Exhibition.
This event was held as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ practical and creative skills and to strengthen the applied understanding of the Cosmetic Preparations course. The exhibition served as an important platform to showcase students’ innovations in the formulation and development of various cosmetic products, in the presence of a distinguished group of academic leaders from the faculty.
Prof. Dr. Lotfy Diab, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, praised the students’ efforts and creativity, emphasizing the importance of linking theoretical knowledge with practical application in the educational process. Prof. Dr. Mostafa Hegazy, Vice Dean of the Faculty, expressed his pride in the high quality and competitiveness of the students’ projects. Prof. Dr. Yasmin Mortagy, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics, affirmed the department’s role in supporting innovation and providing a suitable environment for research and development in the field of cosmetic preparations.
The exhibition was also attended by Dr. Heba Awad, lecturer of the Cosmetic Preparations course, and a number of teaching assistants — TA. Rana El-Nady, TA. Omnia Sami, and TA Eman Khaled — who exerted great effort in guiding and mentoring students to produce such distinguished work, praising their dedication and enthusiasm.

Each booth offered a detailed explanation of the products, their ingredients, preparation methods, benefits, and the scientific principles behind them. The students also demonstrated a high level of competence in answering questions from guests and visitors regarding their projects.
