Sinai University Continues Its Progress in the GreenMetric World University Rankings for Sustainability

In a new achievement reflecting Sinai University’s commitment to sustainability and the promotion of environmentally responsible practices across the university community, the University has continued its progress in the GreenMetric World University Rankings for Sustainability, recording a notable improvement in its relative standing both globally and nationally.
Globally, Sinai University moved from being among the top 76% of ranked universities to the top 68%, representing an 8-percentage-point improvement in its relative position among participating universities.
Nationally, the University improved from being among the top 87% of participating Egyptian universities to the top 78%, representing a 9-percentage-point improvement in its relative position.
This progress is the result of the ongoing efforts of Sinai University’s leadership, headed by Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of the University, in supporting the University’s sustainability agenda and strengthening institutional practices related to environmental responsibility and resource efficiency. These efforts are complemented by the contributions of the University’s various sectors, faculties, departments, staff, faculty members, and students in fostering a culture of sustainability and sustainable institutional practices.
This achievement confirms that sustainability at Sinai University is not merely an indicator in an international ranking, but rather an institutional approach supported collectively by the University’s leadership, faculty members, staff, and students, strengthening the University’s role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and contributing to Egypt’s vision for a greener and more sustainable future.
