Rules and procedures of the enrollment applicants in the university

Applicant students shall create an account for the enrollment in university online via the university’s online portal [su.edu.eg]. The student has the right to choose and amend interests only until the payment date of the enrollment application fees.

Applicant students shall meet the minimum level for early application to university according to the percentages decided for the previous academic year 2019/2020, the Supreme Council for Universities Council decides to set the percentages of admission for the academic year 2020/2021 as follows:

  • Students applying to the university shall choose a date for taking the admission test (TOEIC Online) within a period not exceeding 14 (fourteen) days starting from the date of submitting the application to enroll in the university.

     

  • Once the student set the testing date, he will receive 3 emails explaining the following:

1. The test procedures and guidelines.

2. Programing code sample used for the technical examination of the student’s PC

3. Virtual meeting invitation (Zoom) via the link sent to the student’s registered email

Reading these emails and running the Programing code sample are mandatory prior to taking the test

  • Student can apply directly to AMIDEAST office to take the English language test (TOEIC Bridge) and notifying us about the result.

    • The student must pass the admission test and obtain the required level to ensure his access to the internal coordination lists.

  • Students who have previously passed the Sinai University’s English placement test according to the levels specified in the above table shall be exempt from taking the test.

     

  •      Students who have previously passed TOEIC – IELTS – TOEFL exams shall be exempted from the English placement test as follows

Rules and procedures for the admission process

  • The student shall have obtained the required level in any of the English language tests shown in the above table, which qualifies him to join the Faculty(s) he wishes to enroll in.
  • The student shall order his interests of enrollment in different faculties for which he fulfills their admission requirements in descending order (from the highest to lowest preferences).
  • An internal coordination shall be performed for students who achieve the minimum percentage of the total scores required to apply to the different faculties, according to what the Supreme Council of Universities announces for the academic year 2020/2021, and who have previously achieved the required level in any of the English language tests shown in the above table or have been exempted from taking them according to the established rules, as per their interests, their total scores, and the student numbers decided of admission to each college.

  • In case the student is provisionally accepted in one of his desired faculties and has paid its tuition fees, his right to join another faculty according to his lower desires is automatically lost but he still reserves the right to join any of the faculties included in his higher desires, subject to that the minimum required admission percentages score in Thanawia Ama or one of it’s equivalent certificates for this faculty goes down to become equal to or less than the percentage of the total student score. The difference in tuition fees will be settled in the second installment of tuition fees which is due in November 2020.
  • In all cases, the final acceptance of the student is subject to reviewing his documents by the Admission Office at the Ministry of Higher Education and approval of his admission.

Rules and procedures for transfer students to the university

  • Transfer students shall fulfill the minimum level of admission to the university according to the established percentages for the year of obtaining the qualification or the transfer year, whichever is better for the student.
  • The authenticity of the submitted papers shall be verified by addressing the university from which the student is transferred from prior to taking any transfer procedures, and in case of any discrepancy or lack of response from the side of the transfer university, the student’s transfer application to the Sinai University shall be deemed null and void.

  • CGPA of the student transferring to the university shall not be less than 2.0
  • The remaining period for graduation of the undergraduate transferring to the university shall not less than three (3) years for practical faculties and (2) two years for theoretical faculties as a minimum.
  • The courses studied by the student shall be equalized, provided that the student's percentage in any course shall be not less than 60%

 After payment, you will receive an Email of successful payment & approval on booking exam’s date.

 Schedule a date for the TOEIC exam by AMIDEAST on our portal.
(This step is necessary if you don’t have a valid international TOEFL or IELTS or TOEIC exam results)

 You will receive 3 emails about exam details, exam requirements & identity verification.

 Final acceptance will be granted for complete application according to higher percentage.
