Medical Convoy from Sinai University, Kantara Branch, Provides Services to the Residents of Galbanah Village in North Sinai

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and within the framework of the university’s community responsibility and its effective role in supporting the neediest areas and enhancing free health services for citizens, Sinai University, Kantara Branch, organized a medical convoy to the village of Galbanah in North Sinai Governorate on Monday, February 24, 2025.

The convoy included various medical and pharmaceutical specialties with the participation of the Faculties of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy, in addition to a delegation of students from the Scientific society of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the university.

The medical convoy was launched under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kareman Sayed El-soudany (Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry), Prof. Dr. Ghada Hamed Shaker (Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy), Prof. Dr. Fatma Aboelmaged Mohamed (Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy) and led by Prof. Dr. Yasser Qandeel (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy).

The efforts of the convoy included:

  • Performing medical examination for approximately 450 cases, dispensing 670 free medications and measuring blood sugar and blood pressure levels for free
  • Examining more than 30 cases in the specialties of physical therapy for bones, children, nerves and women’s health
  • Prescribing therapeutic exercises and physical therapy instructions for various diseases.
  • Raising awareness for different segments of the public regarding: –

-Proper healthy nutrition.

-Maintaining the health of the spine and joints of the body while performing daily life activities.

-The importance of monitoring women’s health during pregnancy and childbirth.

-Exercises to maintain body and muscle efficiency that can be practiced at home on a daily basis for the elderly

-The importance of monitoring chronic diseases, dealing with them and avoiding their complications.

-Providing the necessary medical advice and guidance to improve the health of citizens.
