Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ghada Shaker, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy – Sinai University -Kantara,  a workshop was conducted titled:

“Addiction as a Crisis Threatening Egyptian Society: Healthy Steps for Treating Addiction Cases”

The workshop addressed various dimensions of the addiction issue and its negative impact on public health and Egyptian society. The focus was on essential medical and psychological treatment steps to combat addiction and provide full support to recovering individuals, ensuring sustainable recovery, which contributes to building a healthy and stable society.

The workshop was led by:

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Omar – Professor of Clinical Toxicology, Director of the Poison Treatment Unit at Zagazig University Hospitals, and Advisor to the Ministry of Health for Poison and Addiction Treatment.

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Moneim – Ph.D. in Mental Health and Psychotherapy from Ain Shams University, Director of Bidaya Center for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment.
