The Integration Between the Balanced Scorecard and Strategic Planning: A Scientific Framework for Performance Measurement and Achieving Institutional Goals

Sinai University organized on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, a scientific lecture titled “The Integration Between the Balanced Scorecard and Strategic Planning: A Scientific Framework for Performance Measurement and Achieving Institutional Goals.” The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Essam Khamis, the University Consultant. It highlighted the importance of integrating the Balanced Scorecard with strategic plans as an effective approach to measuring institutional performance, improving the quality of decision-making, and enhancing both academic and administrative efficiency within educational institutions. The lecture also presented practical models that support sustainable institutional development.

The session was attended in person by Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University; Prof. Dr. Hassan El-Fayoumi, Dean of the Graduate Studies Faculty at the kantara Campus and Editor-in-Chief of the Sinai International Scientific Journal; Dr. Somaya Gober, Associate Editor; Dr. Mostafa Hegazy, Media Coordinator of the Arish Campus; and Dr. Nora El-Shorbagi, Media Coordinator of the kantara Campus. Meanwhile, faculty members and teaching assistants from both the kantara and Arish campuses joined the lecture online.

This event comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote institutional development, disseminate a culture of quality, and enhance academic performance through a series of specialized scientific activities.
