Overview

Sinai University is distinguished with possessing a Scientific Research Ethics Committee, to promote and ensure integrity and honesty in all research aspects at Sinai University. The committee will work on all aspects concerning research integrity and ethical conduct.

This committee aims to support faculties researchers in publishing their papers in the most prestigious international journals. For the Scientific Research Ethics Committee to approve the research, many of these journals require a serial number from the institution where the research was conducted. This approval number is essential for publication in numerous international scientific journals.

Additionally, one of the committee’s responsibilities is to review the proposed methodology submitted by faculties researchers to ensure it aligns with scientific research ethics standards. The committee will also develop regulations for animal research and ethics that are consistent with internationally accepted rules. Based on this review, the committee will decide whether to grant ethical approval for the proposed methodology. Moreover, the committee is tasked with raising awareness about the ethics of biomedical research.

This committee is accredited by the Egyptian Network of Research Ethics Committees (ENREC)

Registration of Sinai University’s Institutional Committee for the Review of Scientific Research Ethics at the Supreme Council for the Review of Clinical Medical Ethics under the Cabinet of Ministers

Sinai University succeeded to register the Institutional Committee for the Review of Research Ethics at the university in the Supreme Council for the Review of Clinical Medical Research Ethics, affiliated with the Cabinet of Ministers.

This step is a significant achievement, as the Research Ethics Committee – Sinai University has become the first of its kind to be registered with the Supreme Council at the university level in North Sinai.

This accomplishment reflects the university’s commitment to ethical and scientific standards in research and reaffirms its leadership and institutional excellence
