Sinai University Organizes Training Program on “International Networking”

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, Prof. Dr. Abdelhamid Abdo, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs at the Arish campus, and Prof. Dr. Emad Hamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs at the Kantara campus, and as part of the University’s commitment to developing the skills of researchers and faculty members and enhancing their international scientific communication capabilities, Sinai University organized a distinguished training program entitled “International Networking” as part of its academic and research development activities.

The program targeted PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty members, and research team leaders. It was conducted in English over one training day from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The training addressed the concept of scientific networking and its importance in building academic and professional careers. It focused on identifying different types of networks, methods of evaluating them, and how to benefit from them, in addition to strategies for building and promoting effective professional networks. The program adopted interactive training methods, including presentations, group work, case studies, role-playing, and practical applications that enhanced participants’ understanding.

The program witnessed notable engagement from participants, who gained several key outcomes, including understanding the culture and principles of networking, appreciating its role in professional development, the ability to analyze different networks and select the most appropriate ones, as well as acquiring practical tools for building and managing successful networks.

The program was delivered by Dr. Mona Mohamed El-Tobgy, Associate Professor at the National Research Centre and Senior Advisor to Fraunhofer in Egypt, who has extensive experience in scientific research and international collaboration.

This training was organized as part of the University’s efforts to support academic openness and enhance opportunities for international collaboration, contributing to improving the quality of scientific research and expanding communication channels among researchers at both regional and international levels.
