The Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Sciences, Sinai University, Kantara Won the Third Place in the First Student Research Conference Held at the New Ismailia National University

In light of Sinai University’s keenness, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of the University, to participate effectively in university activities in the Canal Region, 18 teams from the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science at Sinai University, Kantara, participated in the first student research conference at the New Ismailia national University. The conference was held under the title “The Role of the University in Sustainable and Community Development.” Participating universities included Suez Canal University, Sinai University, East Port Said Technological University, East Port Said Private University, Zagazig Private University, King Salman International University, New Salhia University, and Galala University.

The conference sessions witnessed strong competition among students presenting their research. In the engineering sector, the third place was replicated between the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science and Faculty of Engineering at Sinai University, Kantara. The Smart Medical Record project from the Faculty of Information Technology was the winner.

On the sidelines of the conference, Professor Dr. Ahmed Fouad Abdel Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science at Sinai University, Kantara, delivered a lecture entitled ” Generative Artificial Intelligence: Applications and Tools.”
