“Ebdaa 13” Closing Ceremony

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, Professor Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdo, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Arish Branch, and Professor Dr. Emad Hamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Kantara Branch, Sinai University achieved a new accomplishment at the 13th “Ebdaa” Festival. Sinai University won five prestigious awards at the 13th edition of the “Ebdaa” Festival, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with wide participation from various Egyptian universities and institutes. The awards were a culmination of the excellence of the university’s students in various fields, most notably television reporting, fine arts, theatrical acting, singing, and musical theater. They demonstrated remarkable excellence and creativity, and the following students received the awards:

  • First place in the television reporting category: Student Mohamed Barakat – First place  (specialized) 
  • Solo Musical Theatre (Non-Specialized): Student Mohamed Adel Eissawy – Third Best Actor award
  • Best Singing Work: Student Maya Bahazad
  • Third place in the fine arts (artwork) category: Student Aya Mahmoud

Sinai University’s musical theater performance “Cinderella and the Shepherd,” presented by the Arish branch students in “Ebdaa 13” Festival, also won the Excellence Award with the Special Jury Award.

It’s worth noting that Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, attended the closing ceremony of “Ebdaa” Festival at Cairo University’s Grand Conference Hall, expressing her pride of the university’s students’ achievements, emphasizing that this distinction is the fruit of the students’ efforts and hard work, as well as the ongoing institutional support for student activities, which contributes to building a creative and responsible generation capable of contributing to the development of Egyptian society.
