The Third Scientific Conference of the Departments of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacology & Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Sinai University – Arish Branch

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdo, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Lotfy Diab, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Mostafa Hegazy, Vice Dean of the Faculty, the Third Scientific Conference of the Departments of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacology & Toxicology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Sinai University – Arish Branch, was held on March 23, 2025.

The conference addressed several vital fields such as clinical pharmacy, advanced pharmacy practices, pharmacology & toxicology, and forensic medicine. The conference program included a lecture on “The Role of the Pharmacist in Forensic Medicine”, presented by Dr. Noha Abdel Rahim, Lecturer in the Pharmacy Practice Department. Additionally, a practical session titled “ABC First Aid” was conducted by student Sara Trifi.

The achievements of both departments were also showcased: Dr. Eman El-Wehsh presented the achievements of the Pharmacy Practice Department, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ghada Badawy presented the achievements of the Pharmacology & Toxicology Department. This was followed by a student activity related to the Toxicology and Forensic Medicine course, featuring a video on “Addiction and the Illegal Use of Medications.”

The conference concluded with an interactive educational activity led by Dr. Romssiaa Raafat from the Pharmacy Practice Department. She introduced “Game-Based Learning”, an innovative interactive learning method, which engaged the attendees and sparked enthusiasm among the participants. Commemorative gifts were distributed to some attendees.

Additionally, outstanding students, staff members, and support personnel were honored for their dedication to ensuring the smooth operation of the faculty. Special appreciation was extended to all faculty members, students, and staff who contributed to the success of the conference.
