A Team from the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science – Arish Achieves Second Place in an Entrepreneurship Hackathon

Under generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Gehan Fekry, President of Sinai University, and Prof. Dr. Abdelhamid Abda, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs at the Arish branch, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sharaf, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, and Prof. Dr. Khaled Fathy, Vice Dean of the Faculty, a new achievement has been added to the record of student success. A team of students from the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Science – Arish branch participated in a local entrepreneurship hackathon, where they successfully achieved second place among the participating teams and won a cash prize of EGP 20,000.

The team distinguished itself by presenting an innovative practical product prototype, reflecting a high level of creativity, technical skills, and entrepreneurial thinking among the students, as well as their ability to transform ideas into applicable and implementable solutions.

This achievement comes as part of the faculty’s continuous support for its students and its encouragement of innovation and participation in scientific and technological competitions, contributing to the development of their practical skills and enhancing their readiness for the labor market.
